MRI Registration for Neurosurgery
This application uses non-linear registration to correct for the brain shift phenomenon encountered with image-guided surgical planning. Functional MRI information obtained pre-operatively can then be shown in the correct position relative to the intra-operative anatomical MRI scan. The availability of this service is required in real-time during surgery, and results must be returned by the Grid as fast as possible, at least within ten minutes.
